Gene Carroll
Gene Carroll has spent more than half a century as a labor organizer and educator working for the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union, the United Mine Workers of America, New York Jobs with Justice Health Care Campaign, the Campaign to Freeze and Reverse the Nuclear Arms Race, and the Worker Institute at Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations. He now works part time as a teacher of labor history and union organizing at the City University of New York’s School of Labor and Urban Studies and the SUNY EMPIRE Van Arsdale School of Labor Studies. He is a proud member in good standing of two sister unions, PSC-CUNY/AFT Local 2334 and UUP-SUNY/AFT Local 2190.
